Point Loma Multi-Family

Point Loma, San Diego

Fifteen Units, One Community

This 15-unit multi-family project in Point Loma is being developed for a repeat client who came back to Momentum Architecture after a successful prior collaboration. That kind of return engagement speaks to the trust built through delivering on promises — on time, on budget, and above expectations.

The project takes a large lot in one of San Diego's most established neighborhoods and creates a community-scale development that respects its context. Point Loma has strong architectural character — a mix of mid-century homes, craftsman cottages, and mature landscaping. The design responds to that context with a building that breaks its mass into smaller volumes, varied rooflines, and a material palette that connects to the neighborhood.

The unit mix is designed to serve a range of residents — from young professionals to small families. Each unit is laid out for efficient living without feeling cramped, with generous kitchens, livable bedrooms, and private outdoor space. Shared amenities and landscaped common areas create opportunities for neighbor interaction without imposing it.

Currently working through the city submission process, the project has been designed to meet all municipal requirements while pushing for the highest quality of living within the development standards. Parking, access, and utility systems are integrated seamlessly so that the resident experience feels residential, not commercial.

For our client, this project represents a significant investment in San Diego's housing stock. For us, it's another opportunity to prove that multi-family housing can be designed with the same care and attention we bring to custom homes.
